CLOSED FOR SEASON
Frequently asked questions
-
When is the best time to pick flowers at your farm?Flowers love sun and heat, but as soon as they are cut, they want cool shade. The best time to pick is when the sun is not too hot. This means in the morning 9am-11am and in the late afternoon / evening 4pm-8pm. However, any time will work. We have floral preservative to help perk up the flowers when you get home.
-
Does each person in my party need to purchase a UPick Bouquet Ticket?Bouquet tickets can be shared. Each party must purchase at least one UPick Bouquet Ticket. The UPick bouquet container can hold a very large bouquet or two fairly good size bouquets.
-
Can I bring my pet?We love pets, however, for the safety and comfort of all guests, pets are not permitted on the farm.
-
What forms of payment do you accept? We accept cash and major credit cards (via Square).
-
Do you have restroom facilities on site?Yes, we have a very clean portable restroom.
-
Are children and babies welcome?Absolutely! Our farm is family-friendly, and we encourage families to enjoy the experience of picking together. Strollers are welcome, but please be aware that navigating through the flower beds may be a bit tricky.
-
Do I need flower cutting experience?Absolutely not! We're here to assist and want you to have a wonderful time. We will provide a pair of snips and a cup for your flowers. After a quick flower cutting tutorial, you can roam the gardens at your leisure cutting your favorite flowers for your one-of-a-kind bouquet.
-
Should I bring my own scissors? No need for that! We supply sanitized professional garden clippers for your use, and they are regularly cleaned between customers. However, if you have a preferred pair you'd like to bring, feel free!
-
What is your weather policy? Our UPick Flower Farm is an outdoor venue and is exposed to the elements. We will remain open during light rain and moderate winds. In the event of severe storms or heavy rain, we will temporarily close until that weather has passed. We do not have a hard structure to shelter in the event of extreme weather, so we advise that you check the forecast prior to coming out to pick. If severe weather pops up unexpectedly, we will ask you to shelter in your vehicle. Temporary closings will be posted on our Facebook page.
-
Is your farm easy to navigate for those with limited mobility?Yes! Our farm is fairly flat with wide aisles between flower beds. There is a small incline from our parking area to the gardens. If this is a challenge, contact us and we will direct your vehicle nearer the gardens for easy access. Our restroom facility is enhanced access for easy entry.
-
I want to pick a bouquet for an event. How far in advance should I pick?We recommend cutting your bouquets the morning before the event. This will give the flowers time to hydrate and "perk up" after being cut from the garden. Two days in advance is also a good timeframe. Fresh cut bouquets should be kept in an air conditioned environment overnight. Do not refrigerate.
-
Do you ever "sell-out" of flowers? How do I know you are sold out?Our goal is to have enough supply of flowers for everyone who visits. When demand is high, however, we may need to close for a few days to give the flowers a chance to rebloom. This is a fairly quick process - typically within a week, so any closing is temporary. If we need to close due to insufficient supply, we will post a message on our website, on Facebook, and send an email to our subscribers.
-
Can I walk around your gardens without picking a bouquet? We are a UPick Flower Bouquet farm. All visitors must purchase at least one bouquet ticket per party to enter the garden. If you want to check it out before you purchase, please check-in at the shed and we will give you a quick tour.
-
Do I need to purchase a bouquet ticket if I only want to take photos in the gardens? We are a UPick Flower Bouquet farm. All visitors are required to purchase at least one bouquet ticket per party. UPick guests are welcome to take candid photos in our gardens, as long as it does not interfere with the enjoyment of other guests. If you want photos without the UPick flower experience, we have photo sessions available. More information can be found on our website www.annemariesflowerfarm.com
